Menu Bar

The menu bar is bar near the top of the Photoshop Layout, with File, Edit, Image, Layer, Select, Filter, Window, and Help on it. Using these various drop down menues, you can edit an image in many way, such as free transforming it from the Edit menu, or changing the Colour balance from the Image menu. These menues contain the toold which are required for more in-depth photo editing, or in the case of the Game industry, texture editing/creating.

Tool Panel

The tool panel is the panel at the left of the Photoshop Layout, unless you choose to move it to a more convenient location. This panel contains the more commonly used tools which can be used to edit photos. It contains features such as the Marquee tool, and the Clone Stamp tool, as well as many others.

Docked Panels

The docked panels are the slightly thinkers panels at the right hand side of the screen, unless you choose to move it to a move convenient location. These panels are used to chose things such as colour, text size, and to edit layer properties, among other features, depending on what mode is selected on the Application Bar, whether it be Essentials, Design, or Painting, or Photography.

Application Bar

The Application Bar is the bar at the very top of the entire Photoshop Layout, or joint top with the Menu Bar, depending on the resolution of your monitor. This contains various tools for changing workspace modes, and tools to alter the general layout of Photoshop. This bar is most useful for people who prefer to customize their programs, to a more personal degree, depending on how the users mind operates.
