Game Genres
A key aspect of any narrative, in any sort of media, whether it be in a book, a movie, or a game, is the genre in which it is portrayed and represented. This key aspect can have drastic influences on many different parts of the narrative, such as the main dialog, all the way to the environment! This is because the style in which a story is told affects the way the reader/viewer/player perceives it. However, this also means that how different people experience a story will vary from person to person, which writers always need to consider when thinking of a story line.
